Public Library Intern - Town of Mooresville

Duties and Responsibilities:
PLEASE NOTE: Some Nights and Weekends Are Required
• Ability to create a welcoming environment for the library's youngest patrons and their caregivers • Examines children's books to be familiar with the material and ability to conduct reader advisory • Helps with Storytime sessions and other programs with the ability to engage children/youth using stories, songs, and crafts programs regularly, including elementary age activities • Work with the youth service team to create crafts and display items monthly/seasonal • Ability to work independently, take the initiative and work cooperatively on a team Minimum Education and
Experience: A current college or university student studying Early Childhood Development or a similar degreed program.
PLEASE NOTE: This position will start on June 1st and consist of 30-40 hours per week throughout the summer.
