Our Manufacturing Operations teams are the people that make our products. We work in the manufacturing plants with a “Safety First, Quality Always” mindset striving for continuous improvement. We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.

Hours Sun thru Thursday 3:15 pm to 11:45 pm

Position Responsibilities:
  • Providing operations support to the Packaging facility while actively participating in, and embracing an empowered lean manufacturing culture. Specifically, the position will have to:
  • Work independently on manufacturing continuous improvement projects, investigations and trouble-shooting of packaging equipment.
  • Work weekends and Offshift hours
  • Monitors the health of the equipment and process through continuous monitoring.
  • Provides technical support to the manufacturing shop for non-routine problems and issues.
  • Authors and updates technical and manufacturing documents and SOPs to support process changes, investigations, engineering/demonstration work, and validations.
  • Partners with shop floor employees to develop, author and update standardized work, task breakdown sheets, and other lean manufacturing tools.
  • Utilize 8-Step problem solving methodology to establish and solve for root cause
  • Identify and work to eliminate waste in all steps of the process

Education Minimum Requirement: 
  • BS Mechanical, Packaging, or Chemical Engineering, or applicable Engineering

Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Vaccine or Pharmaceutical manufacturing background with practical knowledge of typical purification operations (e.g. chromatography, ultrafiltration, etc.). 
  • Experience with packaging equipment. 
  • Experience with statistical tools, such as JMP and/or Minitab, and Six Sigma Certification.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing teachings and application
