Partnerships & Communications Analyst, Scholar Rescue Fund

The IIE Scholar Rescue Fund (IIE-SRF) is the only global program that arranges and funds fellowships for threatened and displaced scholars at partnering higher education institutions worldwide. The Partnerships & Communications Analyst is responsible for leading and supporting initiatives related to IIE-SRF’s partnerships and communications, primarily the Alliance, launched in August 2020 as IIE-SRF’s global network of partners who offer practical support to threatened and displaced scholars. The individual in this role will have a documented history working with diverse constituencies and across different cultures.
Essential Functions:
  • Manage the IIE-SRF Alliance inbox, responding to inquiries and sending partner onboarding emails
  • Draft Alliance messages to inform the partner network and content updates for Alliance webpage on the IIE-SRF website.
  • Develop, produce, maintain, and organize Alliance partner resources in consultation with IIE-SRF Director and Grants & Communications Specialist. May include documents, PowerPoints, live and recorded webinars, and other media.
  • Support communication and outreach strategies for expanding the Alliance, including targeted outreach and social media campaigns.
  • Develop and coordinate opportunities to create and strengthen IIE-SRF partnerships and leverage IIE partnerships, such as the IIENetwork membership base.
  • Solidify and manage process for evaluating and confirming new Alliance partners and prospective partners and coordinating across the IIE-SRF team, including partner designations approvals and new partner record creation.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards. Provide analytics and insights to IIE-SRF team. Initiate data maintenance for partner contact / account updates and other team data entry updates.
  • Propose database and operational enhancements. Liaise with IIE-SRF team and IT for database maintenance.
  • Edit, draft, and help conceptualize IIE-SRF’s public communications, including The Beacon newsletter, program documents, website content, PowerPoints, and media / op-eds.
  • Conceptualize and develop program communications content for IIE-SRF’s social media platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Track and analyze performance of the IIE-SRF web presence, including website and social media platforms.
  • Support design of graphics and charts for use in communications and outreach materials.
  • Analyze and log grantee report form data for use in communications materials.

Education and Work Experience:
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in order to apply a working knowledge of the theories and principles in a specialized field or work discipline.
  • Requires at least two years of related work experience.
  • A writing sample may be requested if selected for an interview.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Five (5) years’ practical work experience strongly desired.
  • Excellent communication skills, including superior writing and ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, including demonstrated emotional intelligence and sensitivity for working with individuals from vulnerable groups. Superior attention to detail.
  • Documented proficiency in MS Office suite of applications.
  • Experienced with data entry and database management, preferably with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Experienced with providing exemplary customer experience with dedication and a commitment to create positive outcomes and to make processes more efficient.
  • Demonstrated initiative, ability to innovate, and problem-solving skills, including to meet programmatic goals and commitments
  • Experienced with editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or Canva is preferred.


Work Conditions & Physical Demands:
Essential functions are performed in a general office setting with low noise.
